[Customer Blog] The sunrise from Mt. Fuji at your fingertips / MONAKA aoyama

Today we would like to introduce a piece of personal jewelry ordered by a long-time customer.
The end result was two stacked rings with the theme of "Mount Fuji and the sunrise."
This one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry combines two unique natural stones: rose-cut diamonds and trapichel rubies.

A story that began with "I want a diamond ring like this"
One day, a customer told us, "I'm looking for a large uncut rose cut diamond ring."
We consulted with the designer immediately after hearing his request and decided to proceed with new purchases so that the customer could see multiple items that met his needs, including the designer's treasured loose stones.
It took a little time for the customer, but we were able to provide them with some options that they were happy with.
From among these, the customer chose a unique rose cut diamond with an outline resembling Mount Fuji.
The customer was attracted to the natural shape of the stone, which made the most of the rough stone's individuality. She was enchanted at first sight, and although she was a little worried about buying a new loose stone, she happily chose this one, saying, "This is it after all."

The idea of "Gokaiko" (rising light) was born from a designer's suggestion
The designer suggested to a customer who regularly enjoys layering jewelry, "Why not imagine the morning sun rising over Mount Fuji, the first light of the day?" This was the trigger for creating another ring.
The three of us who were there - the customer, the designer, and myself - all laughed and got excited, saying, "The Sunrise Ring is so lucky!" It was a fun moment that I will never forget.
Because the idea was born in this way, the customer liked it so much that he decided to leave the design and stone selection entirely to us.

The sparkle of the morning sun at your fingertips
To express the image of "sunrise," the designer and I, who are well acquainted with our customer's tastes and sensibilities through our long-standing relationships, chose a special stone called trapichel ruby.
The radial pattern resembles the spread of light at morning sunrise, which was a perfect fit for the theme.
The rose-cut diamond resembles Mount Fuji with its quiet strength, and the ruby resembles the warm and mysterious morning sun.

The balance and storytelling created when two pieces are worn stacked together is truly one of a kind.

I'm so filled with thoughts that I want to write...on to Vol.2
There are still many stories we would like to share about this order, such as the time we spent together coordinating the ring even after it was completed, and how it was beautifully combined with the customer's personal belongings.
It couldn't all fit into one article...
In Vol.2, we will continue our introduction by focusing on actual jewelry coordination and styling examples with personal items.
Please look forward to it.
