[Customer Blog] The sunrise from Mt. Fuji at your fingertips / MONAKA aoyama
Today we would like to introduce a piece of personal jewelry ordered by a long-time customer.
The end result was two stacked rings with the theme of "Mount Fuji and the sunrise."
This is a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry that combines two unique natural stones: a rose-cut diamond and a trapichel ruby.

A story that began with "I want a diamond ring like this"
One day, a customer told us, "I'm looking for a large uncut rose cut diamond ring."
Upon hearing this, we immediately consulted with the designer and decided to proceed with new purchases so that customers could see multiple stones that best fit their needs, including the designer's treasured loose stones.
It took a little time for the customer, but we were able to provide them with a satisfactory option.

From among these, the client chose a unique rose-cut diamond with an outline reminiscent of Mount Fuji.
The customer seemed to be strongly attracted to the natural form that brought out the individuality of the rough stone. She was captivated at first sight, and although she was a little torn between this and a new loose stone, she happily chose it, saying, "This is the one."

The idea of "Gokaiko" (sunrise) was born from a proposal from a designer
The designer suggested to a customer who regularly enjoys layering jewelry, "Why not imagine the morning sun rising over Mount Fuji?" This was the trigger for creating another ring.
The three of us who were there - myself, the customer, and the designer - all laughed and said, "The sunrise ring is so lucky!" It was a fun moment I will never forget.
Because the idea was born in this way, the customer liked it so much that they decided to leave the design and stone selection entirely to us.
The sparkle of the morning sun at your fingertips
To express the image of "sunrise," the designer and I, who are familiar with the customer's tastes and sensibilities through our long-standing relationship, chose a special stone called trapichel ruby.
The radial pattern resembles the spread of light at sunrise, which was a perfect fit for the theme.
The rose-cut diamond resembles the quiet strength of Mount Fuji, while the ruby resembles the warmth and mystery of the morning sun.

The balance and storytelling created when two pieces are worn stacked together is truly one of a kind.
