Well, today we will be talking about the appeal of Colombian emeralds.
Colombia is the world's largest producer of emeralds, and it is said that over 50% of the world's emeralds are mined there.
Among emeralds, those mined in Colombia are said to be the purest and most beautiful in the world. They contain a lot of chromium, a pigment, which gives them a luminous, pure, unadulterated green glow.
Emeralds often have inclusions and small cracks, which are usually defects in gemstones and reduce their value, but in the case of emeralds, they are often valued as proof that they are natural stones and as unique. It is very rare for them to grow large, making them highly valued.
Emeralds contain a variety of inclusions, and when held up to the light they appear to be full of lush vegetation, which is why they are given the nickname "jardin," which means garden in French.
